Football

We run a Sunday football team in the APFSCIL league. The 2003/04 season was our best ever when we finished third in the APFSCIL equivalent of the premiership, but unfortunately we did not get a Champions League spot for this! The last two seasons have seen mid table finishes, just like Stoke City themselves.

For 2006/07 we are also considering putting together a 'veterans' team for a one-off match. Believe it or not, we have already had quite a bit of interest in this! If you are a former SCSSC player then that is great but it doesn't matter if you are not. By veteran we are talking about 35+ (no upper limit - Norman is interested and he is 67!) Ideally we would like a big squad so we can make plenty of substitutions! We would like to stress that this is meant to be a laugh rather than a serious sporting event. It goes without saying that we will be retiring to the pub afterwards for some serious post-match analysis. If you are interested (no commitment - yet) please contact us.
