SCSSC social activities

Most of our socialising is done around matches or committee meetings. We usually go our for a meal after the committee meeting nearest Christmas - anyone is welcome to join us. Watch our 'forthcoming events' page for further details nearer the time.

We try to get involved in social events run by APFSCIL, such as the regular quiz nights and the popular dinner and dance event which usuallly takes place towards ro just after the end of the football season. Frack Worthington was the main speaker at the last event in 2005.

From time to time we try to organise our own social events (not easy with members spread all over the south!). Our last event was the well attended and hugely successful 35th Anniversary Dinner at the Selsdon Park Hotel, in April 2003. Terry Conroy was the guest speaker and Stoke City Director Phil Rawlins was guest of honour. We all got the opportunity to talk to Tony Pulis and the Stoke City players and coaching staff before the dinner - and Tony popped in later in the evening to offer his best wishes. We also took the opportunity to recognise the contributions of stalwart and founding member Monica Hartland and PM cartoonist, the late Rex Audley. We are currently compiling some photographs from the evening - watch this space!
